Bikes, Pizza & Ice Cream
Sunday, July 12, 2026 · 11AM–4PM
We're riding out to Augie's Classic Motorcycles in Port Washington for the day — wood-fired pizza, ice cream, and a yard full of bikes at one of Long Island's great motorcycle institutions. All motorcycles are welcome at Augie's; we roll out together as Gotham.
The Ride:
Capacity is limited — RSVP required, first come, first served. Final meet time and route drop the night before by email and WhatsApp.
Augie's Classic Motorcycles isn't just a pizza oven and a yard full of bikes — it's DeFeo family ground. Augie's father, Sal “Ghost” DeFeo, built one of the most legendary motorcycle shops on the East Coast right here in Port Washington.
Sal earned the nickname “Ghost” for how fast he'd vanish from the police on his Harley. He started wrenching and selling bikes out of his own garage as a teenager and grew Ghost Motorcycles into a Port Washington institution — a crammed, museum-grade temple of rare and bevel-drive Ducatis that pulled in racers, riders, and even Billy Joel. The DeFeos sponsored road racing, scrambles, and motocross, and Sal rode his Harley until days before he passed in 2021 at 94. The town renamed a stretch of Main Street in his honor.
So when we point our bikes at Augie's, we're rolling straight into real motorcycling history. Come hungry. Ride sharp.
